Our Critical Needs
Our 2023 Capital Campaign is focused on two items:
$98,000 is needed immediately to purchase and install a full-building generator. This is needed to ensure that our operations can continue when power is lost and so we can provide shelter for those who have lost power.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
For almost 30 years, the Northeast Quadrant Advanced Life Support (NEQALS) Paramedics have provided Advanced Life Support (ALS) level care to the residents of Webster and surrounding areas, responding to more than 3,600 calls in 2021. Webster Emergency Medical Service, founded in 2016, is now the Town of Webster’s ambulance service, and responded to more than 3,800 calls in 2021. We have done this without any taxation or formal fund raising. Unlike fire departments and many ambulance services in our area, NEQALS is an independent organization, providing Advanced and Basic Life Support services in Webster and surrounding communities.
Founded in 1988, NEQALS is a New York State not for profit corporation and is also registered as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Today, the majority of our income is generated by billing insurance companies of the patients we serve. Due to the complex make-up of our community, we are forced to write off more than 50% of our billing revenue as non-collectable every year!
On October 7, 2016 NEQALS launched the Webster Emergency Medical Service, a Basic Life Support ambulance. This service was launched as a supplemental transport service, in coordination with the Town of Webster, to provide our residents with faster service when the first two agencies in Town were not able to provide ambulance transport. With the addition of the ambulances, we needed to move to a larger space.
In addition to housing our 6 ambulances, 5 flycars and staff, our new based allows us to provide training such as CPR, AED, and First Aid to citizens in our area.
